Flowing Chaos

This is a good description of my life right now. So much going on behind the scenes, so many options to explore,  it overwhelms me sometimes.

My love for fractals hasn’t diminished in any way. In fact, I’m busily working on my own fractal editor, which is such an absorbing undertaking at times that I forget the reason I arrived at this point in the first place is that I’m an artist.

A strange paradox to be living in, but somehow appropriate when you consider the medium I’m working in.

Through the night we rise, almost touching the brightest stars. There is truly nothing out of our reach.

Realizing you have just passed a critical threshold, taken that one step that brings you to a whole new level – it’s one of the most amazing feelings, ever.

Whenever I come close to the point of thinking that I’m finally starting to grasp everything there is to know about fractal flames, I promptly find myself at the doorstep to the next room full of mysteries. The discovery of this amazing artform brings me joy every day.

Now that this particular phase of learning is coming to a close, I feel an itch do something more, a gentle pull in my hands. It’s far to soon to articulate it in words – we’ll just have to see what comes streaming out of my fingertips next.

Call of the Infinite

Can you hear the voices calling to you, telling you that there is more to all of this than you can see? Beyond the corners of your eyes, the spirits are opening pathways to fantastic worlds. Aren’t you going to join them?

Cutting to the core

You can always go deeper, even if you think you’ve already learned a lot about something, specially in any creative endeavour. It becomes neccessary to stop all distractions and to fully listen to a particular voice that calls you from within. This may mean leaving things undone, focusing just on this one thing you’re trying to understand, explore, discover.

This kind of single-minded focus is sharp and powerful. It may not always seem correct to take such a strong stance, but it’s often the only way to get anything done. This is how you develop as a human being, this is how you remain true to yourself, this is how you honor your spirit. The rest can wait, at least for now.
